the-miles-between: My boyfriend and I have been in an LDR for almost 4 years now. But these past 2 years have been anything but your normal LDR. Both of us are LDS (mormon). And when he turned 19 he went to serve his 2 year mission in Tokyo Japan. All the while, I was going to school in Idaho and living in So. California on my breaks. For those 2 years our only form of communication was through letters and emails about once a week (when we were lucky). He’s home now, in Nevada, I still live in California, so unfortunately the LD part isn’t over. But this past week was the first time I got to see him in over 2 years. And man was it wonderful! If I knew I would be this happy with him after waiting for him for 2 years, I’d do it again. It definitely wasn’t fun, but we were worth the wait. We are more in love than ever before. If we can make it, so can anyone! You just have to work for it. Perfect relationships aren’t just handed to you. But if you love each other, it can’t be stopped.
